Let's go over the Dice system shall we?
First and foremost....At the top far right of the write screen is a dice button. You will NOT change the value of the dice. You can 'Insert Dice' as many times equal to your level, which you will find in your profile to the left of the screen when you are viewing a topic. Your levels are determined by your post count. The more active you are the faster you will gain levels. Simple. Just remember that each post (not including dice rolls) MUST have at least one sentence. ANYONE found abusing this will have their posts deleted and warned.
Ok. Now that's out of the way let's get on to the actual practical use of this:
To make it easy you and your opponent are the same level. You are both level two. You roll a 1 and a 4. Your opponent rolls a 1 and a 3. The one's cancel out and you win because your roll is higher. You deal one point of damage. Pretty easy right? But what happens if you both win? Let's take a look.
Your roll: 3,6
Opponent's roll: 4,2
On the first roll you take one point of damage and on the second roll your opponent takes 4 points of damage.
Still pretty easy. Wait! What if you and your opponent are different levels?? Let's look.
You: Level 2. Roll: 5,3
Opponent: Level 3. Roll: 3,2,5
You cause a total of 3 points of damage but take all 5 points of damage.
Hold it!! How do we know our hit points. One of the mods will give you your hps when you create your character, and will adjust as you go up in levels. No need to worry there.
Any questions?
If you need to practice go to the training grounds in the OOC board and practice there!
